The Arciconfraternita di Santa Croce is a lay-religious association with the exclusive purpose of worship, composed of brothers and sisters. It is a male and female association. Founded between 1590 and 1600, it was canonically erected in the first decade of 1700. It directly depends by the Ordinary Diocese of Tempio-Ampurias, which approved the statute, under which it was given the status of public association of believers (items n. 301 and 312 of the code of Canon law). The administration of the Arciconfraternita di Santa Croce is run by a Prior, a Vice-Prior, an Executive Board and an Assembly. It also has a chaplain, who spiritually directs it.

It takes part in all the religious functions of the parish and its related processions, especially those of the Holy Week. It carries out charitable activities of donation and solidarity: “Philanthropy”, restores the old traditions, strengthens popular piety and preserves it, when it is necessary with other associations operating in the country, especially with the other Confraternity, that of SS. Rosary.

Its members, in many functions and processions, carry the banners, signs, processional crucifixes and floor lamps. In the days of the Holy Week the Brothers play special percussion instruments (lu Riu Rau and Baroniga). The Arciconfraternita di Santa Croce has as its registered office the homonymous church-chapel, near to the Parish Church of Santa Vittoria, where it plays all its main activities. His religious festival is celebrated each year, on September 14.
