This proposal is the ideal solution for those with only one weekend available want to relive in first person the ancient and spectacular rites of the Holy.

1st DAY Good Friday
– Arrival in Aggius at 3.30 pm
Arrival in Aggius. Welcoming of tutor, at Casa dell’Ospite, in via Monti di Lizu n°6.
Guided visit of the Parish Church and the three Oratories of the village, that in occasion of the afternoon functions become the sepulchres “li sippulcri”, basket of grain or legumes germinated in the dark. From Holy Thursday, they are embellished with colourful flowers and tissue paper, placed on the altars of churches to symbolize the passage of Jesus from the darkness of the tomb in the light of the Resurrection, they remain until Saturday night. At sundown at the church of Santa Vittoria begin the rites of Holy Friday: at 5.30pm the liturgical action, followed by passio, the universal prayer, disclosure and kiss of the cross, holy communion, procession through the streets of the historical centre and visit of the tombs, return to the Parish Church, brief reflection and finally taking down from the cross and deposition of Christ (Lu sgraamentu). All accompanied by the singing of the two confraternities and the traditional choirs.

2nd DAY Saturday
The day starts with a visit to the Museo MEOC (Ethnographic Museum Oliva Carta Cannas), where it is possible to rediscover the ancient crafts, ancient traditions (dancing, singing, weaving) and admire a faithful reconstruction of the traditional house. Workshops of dyeing and processing of wool, mini-course of weaving, ancient street games and traditional are available. Walking along the ancient alleys and squares of the historical center, characterized by buildings in granite and ancient churches, you reach piazza Michele Andrea Tortu, which hosts the second museum of Aggius, dedicated to banditry.
– Typical lunch with tasting of local wine and food.
Departure for Tempio Pausania and afternoon dedicated to the visit of the historical center and shopping.
Return to Aggius
– Dinner with typical products at the various structures of the village.
From 10.30 pm at the Parich Church: Blessing of the fire, water renewal of the baptismal font, used to bless the houses, singing of glory and finally ringing of the bells.

3rd DAY Easter Sunday
The mass of Easter Sunday is preceded by a procession of two confraternities, accompanied by the music band, which after exiting respectively from their Oratory with the statue of the Risen Christ and the other with one of the Madonna, meet (lu ‘ntoppu) in the “piazzetta” of the village and after three bows, in sign of greeting, the choirs sing the hymn of Regina Caeli with delicious soloist and with solemn and majestic Alleluia. Easter in Aggius ends in the parish church, with the celebration of the Solemn sung Mass.
