The following proposal is the ideal solution for those with only one weekend available, want to live and to know one of the most characteristic villages of the other Gallura, rediscovering traditions and ancient flavors.

Arrival in Aggius. Welcoming of tutor, at Casa dell’Ospite, in via Monti di Lizu n°6.
The day starts with a visit to the Museo MEOC (Ethnographic Museum Oliva Carta Cannas), where it is possible to rediscover the ancient crafts, ancient traditions (dancing, singing, weaving) and admire a faithful reconstruction of the traditional house. Workshops of dyeing and processing of wool, mini-course of weaving, ancient street games and traditional are available. Walking along the ancient alleys and squares of the historical centre, characterized by buildings in granite and ancient churches, you reach piazza Michele Andrea Tortu, which hosts the second museum of Aggius, dedicated to banditry.

In the afternoon, the day continues with an excursion along the characteristic panoramic road with the first stage at the artificial lake of Santa Degna, equipped with a refreshment stand and immersed in the unspoilt nature and it continues toward the panoramic viewpoints of the Moon Valley, or plain of large boulders, so named because it resembles a mooscape, also equipped with a refreshment stand. Along the route it is possible to admire the famous mountains of Aggius, setting of the ancient legends of the village.

Breakfast in Aggius
The morning ecological walk with departure from the pond to the discovery of the flora and the fauna of the territory with particular attention to the autochthonous plants. The morning continues with the visit of the Nuraghe Izzana, in the locality of Finosa, famous for its Tholos and the triangular base.
Lunch in Agritourism with food and drink typical of the tradition of Aggius.
To follow the visit of the most suggestive rural churches of the area, with a stopover in Bonaita, pretty hamlet of the municipality of Aggius, famous for its springs, unspoilt nature and sarra, a hilly territory that hosts the wind farm and that allows to admire one of the most beautiful views of the valley.
