The Associazione Culturale d’Informazione “Don Piero Baltolu Gli amici di Aggius” (non-profit) was founded, with the foundation deed filed with the Office of Direct Taxes of Tempio, April 24, 2004, after the death of Don Piero.
The bi-monthly printing “Il Notiziario di AGGIUS” whose first issue dates back to 2002 directs its activities to the sector of culture and information.
This magazine, on paper, is available to residents in the town, Aggius emigrates and those who, for several reasons, feel they are “friends and admirers” of our community.
The Associazione Culturale d’Informazione “Don Piero Baltolu Gli amici di Aggius” is also engaged in these further steps:
– to encourage the publishing of writings in the form of novel, short story, essay, photographs, films, sound recordings or CDs and so on. They relate to the history and culture of the area of Aggius, Gallura and Sardinia;
– to promote cultural and entertainment activities of social, religious, tourist, recreational and economic interest for the country, in collaboration with the Parish, the Municipality and all associations: Pro Loco, Mutual Aid, folk group, traditional choirs, Brotherhoods and sports groups, operating in the interests of the local community and the promotion of the territory;
– to collaborate with the initiatives proposed by other associations in the respect of the statutory line of the association and in the interest of the community.
